Stuart Park School Council
Stuart Park Primary School has an active and positive School Council that is elected each year by community members in February.
The School Council meets on the third Monday of every month excluding January, July and December.
School Council sub-committees meet once monthly or as necessary and are chaired by a Council member.
The Council is made up of staff, parents and community members. It works together to promote the educational opportunities for the students at our school.
The Council has input into many of the decisions made at the school and members are encouraged to work on sub committees to use their particular expertise. The Council has been instrumental in working to improve the school grounds and resources; organising community gatherings; assisting in school policy writing and implementation; running the Out of School Hours Care service and the School Canteen; ensuring a positive and productive community that supports the education of children at the school.
Parents on School Council will be invited to be on a sub-committee. These are:
- Grounds Management
- Out of School Hours Care
Contact the school if you are interested in being involved.
Parent Involvement in Class
Parents are an important part of the partnership at Stuart Park School. Parents are encouraged in many different ways to be involved with the education of the students.
At Preschool, parental involvement strengthens and enhances children’s learning and can be of great assistance to the teacher. Parents are welcome to stay and help with activities.
At the Primary School…
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child's education.
We encourage parents to participate in programs such as reading and fundamental motor skills. If you wish to offer your time then your child's teacher or the office will be only too happy to work with you to find the best fit for your timetable.
The support of our community enriches the programs that we are able to offer to the children.
